Our Story

Built in Michigan, for Michigan.

KEYS Food Service is Michigan's most trusted food service authority — running entire programs for schools, camps, and institutions for more than a decade.

The Mission

Good food is a baseline, not a benefit.

Every child deserves a real meal — hot, fresh, made with care. Every institution deserves a partner who shows up, runs the kitchen, and handles the paperwork. That's it. That's the company.

We're not a delivery service. We're not a caterer who took on schools as a side hustle. KEYS is a full-service food service authority — the operational backbone behind the meal, from procurement through plate.

What We Stand For

Four principles, every plate.

01

Fresh, every day

Cooked daily, on-site or at one of our state-licensed commissaries. Real ingredients, real prep, real kitchens.

02

Compliance is the floor

Full USDA (National School Lunch Program) management — nutrition, eligibility, civil rights, and reporting handled in-house.

03

Inclusive by design

Halal, vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-aware menus aren't add-ons — they're how every menu is built.

04

Rooted local

Michigan distributors, Michigan bakers, Michigan dairies. Local sourcing keeps food fresh and dollars home.

Three Commissary Kitchens

The kitchens behind 13,000 daily meals.

Each state-licensed and ServSafe-certified — anchoring our delivery model and supporting on-site partners across the state.
