From the first kitchen install to the last compliance report — KEYS runs end-to-end food service for Michigan's schools, camps, and institutions.

School & Institutional Food

KEYS partners with K-12 districts, charter networks, and youth-serving institutions to operate the entire food service program — breakfast, lunch and supper programs (to those who qualify). Staffing, sourcing, menus, and federal reporting are all handled for you.

Two Service Models

We work around your facility.

Both models deliver identical menu quality and compliance. The difference is where the cooking happens.

Model A · On-Site Kitchen

We staff and run your existing kitchen.

  • KEYS team installs SOPs, training, and full operations
  • Meals cooked daily on your campus
  • Equipment and sanitation maintained by KEYS

Model B · Commissary + Delivery

We bring the kitchen to you.

  • Prepared at Baldwin House, Lorraine Commissary, or Covenant House SW
  • Delivered daily via temperature-controlled fleet
  • Branded service line setup, sanitation, and onsite team
  • Identical menu standards and compliance across both models

Camps & Summer Feeding

Summer doesn't pause hunger. KEYS partners with the State of Michigan's Meet Up & Eat Up program — averaging 40+ summer camps every season through SFSP. Every meal is free for any child 18 and under.

Hot, cold, and Halal options vary by location. The 2026 schedule is listed below — full address details available on request.

Summer camps

Spots are still open — sign up today. Community camps across Metro Detroit, opening through June and July. All meals free for any child 18 and under.
