From the first kitchen install to the last compliance report — KEYS runs end-to-end food service for Michigan's schools, camps, and institutions.

School & Institutional Food

KEYS partners with K-12 districts, charter networks, and youth-serving institutions to operate the entire food service program — breakfast, lunch and supper programs (to those who qualify). Staffing, sourcing, menus, and federal reporting are all handled for you.

Two Service Models

We work around your facility.

Both models deliver identical menu quality and compliance. The difference is where the cooking happens.

Model A · On-Site Kitchen

We staff and run your existing kitchen.

  • KEYS team installs SOPs, training, and full operations
  • Meals cooked fresh daily on your campus
  • Equipment and sanitation maintained by KEYS
  • Identical menu standards and compliance across both models
Model B · Commissary + Delivery

We bring the kitchen to you.

  • Prepared at Baldwin House, Lorraine Commissary, or Covenant House SW
  • Delivered fresh daily via temperature-controlled fleet
  • Branded service line setup, sanitation, and onsite team
  • Identical menu standards and compliance across both models
Service · 02

Camps & Summer Feeding

Summer doesn't pause hunger. KEYS partners with the State of Michigan's Meet Up & Eat Up program — averaging 40+ summer camps every season through SFSP. Every meal is free for any child 18 and under.

Hot, cold, and Halal options vary by location. The full list of feeding locations and the 2026 schedule will be published before the season opens.
